HOW LONG DOES IT TAKES TO HEAR BACK FROM MELISSA-MAY DESIGNS? 

It takes about 24-48 hrs to hear back from us and to schedule an appointment. 

 Typically, we like for you to request our Month of Management (our version of  Day of Coordination) 90-120 days before your wedding date. 

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO WE HAVE TO REQUEST  MONTH OF MANAGEMENT SERVICES.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A VENUE COORDINATOR AND A WEDDING PLANNER? 

The simple answer is: A venue coordinator works for the venue, and a wedding planner works for the couple. A venue coordinator will be dealing with all the aspects of the venue such as set up, the staff, food, etc. A wedding planner is there to oversee the set up from all vendors, answer any questions, take care of any problems, and to make sure everything is exactly as the couple wants it.

I AM PLANNING A DESTINATION WEDDING IN HOUSTON, BUT I LIVE IN ANOTHER CITY/STATE/COUNTRY, CAN YOU HELP ME!

Yes, we can!  In fact, about half of our clients do not live in Philadelphia, Pa area – they live all over the world.  So we are very comfortable with out-of-city/state/country clients and communicating via phone, e-mail, FaceTime, and Skype.

ARE WE REQUIRED TO USE ALL MELISSA-MAY DESIGNS SERVICES WHEN WE BOOK ?

No, our event planning services are a separate  from the rest of our other services.

DO I HAVE TO GO THROUGH YOUR VENDORS IF I HIRE YOU AS MY PLANNER/DESIGNER?

The short answer is, no. However, we have worked hard at developing these relationships and we can guarantee the quality of the service of vendors we suggest. However, we are more than happy to work with any vendors you would prefer.

Melissa-May Designs does not do “cookie cutter” events. We strive for your event to be uniquely your own. You will be interviewed in great detail during the initial planning stages to ensure that your event is custom. We incorporate details that are important to you and what you would like to place emphasis on. Every event we plan is different from the next because it is based on personalization.
